Motherhood, Faith, Fitness, Nutrition. We've got you covered

Our days are numbered. Despite what popular t-shirts say, you only live forever. You only die once. We are all dying one second at a time. How does that make you feel? Afraid? Anxious? Angry?
One of my biggest fears was becoming a single mom. Impossible. Not me. Anything but. Please, God, never.
Lean in and let me whisper a secret to you. Do you think it is possible for God to use your current big fear for your good and His glory? Don’t nod in agreement so fast. What’s your “big rock” right now? Pending divorce? Fear of miscarriage? Probable bankruptcy? Wayward kids? Can it be something God has allowed so that you may rely on Him and have a stronger faith? Will you let Him evolve from storybook character in a white robe to a living, breathing, real force in your life?
What will you do today to make today matter for the kingdom? How will eternity be affected because of decisions you make today? Will you succumb to worry? Will you be more than a conqueror? Yes, you….conqueror. Or will those concerns win?
When my four young sons and I casually said good-bye to Aaron in 2012, little did we know that there was a divine countdown occurring. It was a beautiful Sunday after an amazing service at our church. We carried on with our normal routines. And the Lord quietly counted, “2 more days.” Monday came and the Lord whispered, “1 more day.” Tuesday arrived and the Lord said, “Time to come to the place I’ve prepared for you.” Pain-free. Joy-filled. Permanent.
Your divine countdown is occurring right now. Maybe you have 90 years, maybe you have 90 minutes. What will you do? How will you live? Who will be first in your life?
I became a single mom. Fear became reality. Yours may too. The divorce may be finalized, the baby may not make it full-term, your kids may go to jail, and you may have a negative bank balance. What will you do? After I became a widow, I was flooded with comments of “I’d never be able to handle that.” I disagree.
I have faith that God can equip you to do anything.
Either He’s the Almighty or He’s not.
He split an ocean.
He drowned the planet.
He hovered a few feet above ground laden with the sin of all time.
You are one day closer to meeting your Maker. Surrender to Him. Bow at His feet. Rejoice in the storm. Let Him carry those burdens. And joyfully await the day when He looks you in the eyes, with a love you never could’ve dreamed, and says, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord.”
