Motherhood, Faith, Fitness, Nutrition. We've got you covered
If you’ve followed Momsanity for long then you might just know that we don’t do a lot of Pinterest activities. As a busy Mompreneur who lacks craftiness, I find the craft store overwhelming and truly my kids aren’t that into it either, so I cut a lot of corners.
That said, I am a HUGE fan of quality time and activities that focus on Jesus. When I find something that gets my boys excited, I love it even more. As a curious 4 year old, my son Adler is really into opening things and really into books and things we do “every day”. He really enjoys routine and control and being a part of the “action”.
Enter Resurrection Eggs and Amazon Prime!
I found these eggs on Amazon and quickly ordered them. Yes I know I can make my own and he could help me, but MAKING them is not our thing. Plus they come with stickers and a nice little case and the tokens are good quality.
I also ordered the book Benjamin’s Box because the cute little book that comes with the eggs is fun, but it’s way more fun when it’s about another little boy ☺.
The book is about a little boy who is collecting treasures for his box that his grandpa left him. The tokens he collects correlate with the eggs’ contents which tell the chronological story of Easter. For example- the first egg contains a small donkey and the reading that day is about Palm Sunday and Jesus riding in on a donkey. The pamphlet/book that comes with the eggs would suffice and tells the same Bible stories.
There are lots of ways you can use the eggs- you can make them a part of an egg hunt after reading the story or you can do what we did and open one egg per day while reading that section of the story. He really seemed to absorb the story with this approach and was genuinely excited to find out what would come next.
If you’re like me and usually “wish” after the fact that you had done something special for a special holiday, this is an EASY way to spend special time with your kids, sharing Jesus and doing something fun together each day. Head on over to Amazon Prime and enjoy!!!
