Heather Blankenship is one of our Momsanity Sisters who has really plugged into our Sisterhood with her REAL life!   Watching the Sisters surround her with love has been one of the special highlights to be a part of.  Meet Heather....

 I'm Heather, and I have been a member of Momsanity for a LONG time. I originally joined to just get some workouts that were quick and I could do at home. I have always carried extra weight and with my girls growing up I didn't want them to grow up unhealthy too. I also liked that it was a faith based group and hoped it would help me there as well. I honestly didn't know that I would gain a community that honestly and deeply care for one another and a group of ladies that would be there for me when I needed them.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 13 years and we've been blessed with 3 wild and crazy kids, two girls and a boy. I grew up an only child and swore I'd always have at least two and God was gracious enough to give me three beautiful, strong, independent, stubborn and healthy kids. Currently I have one in middle, one in elementary and one in preschool. I work full time as a nurse and life is usually wild and crazy but somehow we make it work and actually enjoy most days.

Momsanity has been crucial for me. It started my fitness journey when I was struggling to find something other than diet pills and energy drinks. I disliked myself and my habits, how I looked and how bad I felt. This awesome group of ladies helped get me on the right path and focus. Now I have veered from that path repeatedly, but I've always been welcomed back with smiles and love. I love that I am part of a group of real people, real women that help me through the happiness and the sadness that can come with motherhood, but also show me that I'm not alone in my peaks and valleys. The strong faith that is evident has helped to strengthen my faith as well.

This fabulous group of women were also there during a dark, difficult time in my personal life. I honestly had no one to turn to for help and one message sent in our group opened up help, friendship and love like I've never seen before. I was sent immediate help and have no doubt that God sent me this group of women to help me weather the storm he knew was coming, and show me something greater. These ladies have been there and not by just kind words or prayers, but by truly checking in with me and opening up about their past troubles and heartbreaks. There were women that had never met me offering to come help me from miles away. I had never known this show of kindness before. At times they even gave me advice I really didn't want to hear, but knew I needed to hear it. In the weeks and even years to follow I've received messages or questions checking up on me and seeing how I am. There's no greater gift than knowing that they care and truly care for me and my family.

Momsanity has been so much more than just an online group of "moms" for me. It's been a place to toss ideas around, a place to ask for help when I felt defeated, a place to go when I needed real advice. It's more than a group it's a friendship and a sisterhood I will forever be grateful for.
