Motherhood, Faith, Fitness, Nutrition. We've got you covered

You want fries with that?

I do not have time to cook 21 meals a week.  Or maybe I have time but will have to give up bathing.  I’m not ashamed to tell you that my kitchen is sometimes clean, okay not clean but cleaner, because I haven’t  actually done any cooking in it.  I really used to be better about casserole-making, meal-planning and grocery-getting.  But my life is more chaotic than ever as I adjust to the whole single mom situation.  Convenience is king.    So that leads to eating out.

Do you think you can eat at fast-food establishments and still burn fat?  Even at McDonald’s?!  Absolutely!

How?

  1. Go with protein first and a lot of it.  Pick chicken over beef and order 2.
  2. Load up on veggies.  Ask for extra lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.
  3. Toss the bread.   Wrap that protein in lettuce or turn your whole meal into a salad.
  4. Ask for fruit.  A lot of fast food places offer apple slices or fruit cups, a way healthier option compared to fries.
  5. Drink water.  Soda is sugar-laden and won’t do you any favors.
